This Crucible is the only one in the collection glazed in Ruby Red, a
deep-colored glaze but a temperamental one to fire. Nevertheless, the kiln gods probably liked us this time around.
This Crucible also has a rather dramatic exterior with coils of iron-oxide
stained clay encircling the bowl. Its surface is textured and unglazed, showing off the rich colors of the clay.
