Stoneware Bottle (artist # 9378)

Sculptural. Elegant. Organic: the bottle takes its form from a watermelon grown in our garden. The exterior is stained with iron oxide to give it a shimmering black tint. The potter has carved into the entire surface to create a textured sphere. The bottle's interior is glazed in Indigo Blue, leaving a taste of the color on the wheel-thrown spout.
