Favorite Bowl with Porcelain Inlay

This Favorite Bowl is hand-built with stoneware clay with a dramatic inlay of porcelain and iron-oxide-stained clay on the bowl's exterior. We added two glazes to the bowl's interior, which created an explosion of color.

Favorite Bowls are created using coiling, a traditional building technique. This bowl is far from traditional however. We used a mold of a spaghetti squash grown in our garden to give it its form, including the imprint of the squash's stem at the bottom of the bowl, which you can see when you turn it over

• High fired in our gas reduction kiln.

• We recommend hand washing (in warm soapy water). If using for a soup bowl,  please first warm the bowl with warm tap water.
