Hand-carved Tiny Face Tumblers
Each stoneware tumbler has its unique personality and is perfect for enjoying a sip of wine, sharing a whiskey with a friend, or greeting the morning with some OJ.
The tumblers feature a "wrapped" construction, inspiring me to use the clay overlap to create the nose. I add the tumbler's eyes, brows, and mouth and sometimes include a dimple or two. I use one of my favorite glazes, Blue Salt, which is a combination of blue-grey and pale yellow.
