Stoneware Wrapped Tumblers

This unique collection features tumblers that are crafted by molding a slab of stoneware into a columnar shape and pinching the two ends together. The overlap where the clay ends meet creates a distinctive ridge - different on each cup. The artistic challenge lies in carving a face directly into the stoneware incorporating this clay ridge into the portrait.
The features are stained with iron oxide, providing a striking contrast with the stoneware.
