This hand-made stoneware bowl is an earlier version of the most recent Hand & Fire Bowls; it has an iron-oxide-stained coiled base upon which a number of 'ribbons' of clay are wrapped. The layered ribbons are covered with a sandy dry clay, which gives the bowl a geological appearance similar to that of earth strata. The inside of the bowl is glazed in light blue/grey Swedish Blue with some pale yellow accents.
- Hand-built with stoneware and a variety of high fire clays
- 7 1/4" diameter x 5 (at its highest point)
- Interior is glazed with Swedish Blue glaze
- Fired at high temperature for exceptional depth of color
