Iron-oxide-stained coils form its base, while ribbons of clay wrap upward in layers — each one pressed and dusted with a sandy dry clay that gives the surface a geological depth, like a cross-section of earth. Inside, a Creme Brulee glaze settles warm and inviting against the rugged exterior.
